Kudu Campsite
A convenient and pleasant campsite located near Karatu village, just a short drive from the entrance to Ngorongoro National Park. This is a good campsite to stop at on the way to Ngorongoro or Serengeti. Facilities include clean toilets, showers, a small bar, an internet cafe, a restaurant, evening entertainment, covered cooking and dining areas and excellent security. Karatu Market is a very colourful event held just a few hundred metres from the campsite.

Lake Eyasi
Several very pleasant, private campsites are located in the forest clearings by the lake. These provide grassy tent spaces, shower and toilet facilities constructed mostly with native materials. At night a cool breeze keeps away mosquitos. This is an ideal place for bird-watchers or those who just want to relax and spend two or three nights in total peace.

Twiga Campsite
A popular campsite located near Mto Wa Mbu Village, just a short way from the entrance to Lake Manyara Park. This is one of the best campsite to stop at on the way to Lake Manyara National Park, Ngorongoro or Serengeti. Facilities include well kept lawns, toilets, showers, a small bar, a restaurant, a swimming pool, evening entertainment and covered cooking and dining areas.

Simba Campsite
A very simple campsite overlooking the crater. At night in can be quite cold and misty because of its altitude. Facilities include covered cooking and basic dining areas, cold showers and toilets. Since new park regulations restrict Crater Floor visits to half a day the advantages of staying here have been reduced. Nevertheless a useful staging point on the way to the Serengeti.

Lobo Campsite
A very simple campsite located at the foot of a small hill and very close to, but out of site of, Lobo Lodge. There is a very nice panorama of the plains to the east. At night it is cool and the wind can be quite strong at times. Facilities include covered cooking and basic dining areas, cold showers and toilets. This is a useful campsite if coming from or driving towards Lake Natron.

Seronera Campsite
The Seronera campsite is well-located for game viewing in the Seronera area and provides the basic facilities required for campers including covered cooking areas, showers and toilets. There are several small campsites to choose from. The water supply at the campsites is frequently disrupted by thirsty elephants so the showers do not always work.

Kiongoni Campsite
A very basic campsite located on a small hill not far from the tarmac road to Arusha. The most convenient place to stay at on the way to Tarangire National Park (the park gate is just 10 minutes away). Facilities include toilets, showers, a small bar, covered cooking and dining areas and good security. |
